A dedicated IP allows you to digitally sign your emails and take full control of your sending reputation.
Most SendinBlue plans include sending from our shared IP addresses, however we recommend using a dedicated IP address for certain clients and for any client doing high-volume sending. There are several advantages to using a dedicated IP.
Instead of sharing your IP reputation with other advertisers, you control your IP's reputation and its quality is based on your sending practices. Simply rely on your marketing campaigns and their effectiveness.
Your emails will be signed with the subdomain you associate in SendinBlue (SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentications). The term SendinBlue will not appear anywhere in your emails (not even in Gmail, which shows the domain name used for the technical signature of the sent message).
Certification services such as SenderScore Certified, Goodmail and others often require a dedicated IP address. These services are designed to help your messages to bypass anti-spam filters and be displayed more prominently.
They make it easier to be white-listed with Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail.
Even though it is your responsibility to manage your reputation when using a dedicated IP address, SendinBlue will give you all the advice you need to set up and properly manage your reputation. Once your dedicated IP address has been purchased, you can either automatically delegate one of your subdomains or manage the DNS records yourself. In this case, you will need to setup several DNS records relating to the SPF, DKIM and DMARC signatures.
