In email marketing, a white list is a list of "trusted" IP addresses. Many online services, including email management services (Gmail, AOL, etc.), manage their own white lists. Getting your IP address on these white lists ensures that you'll have an easier time getting your message delivered to your subscribers' inboxes without any hiccups. Having a dedicated IP is often a prerequisite to getting on these lists.
The purpose of certification services (SenderScore Certified, Goodmail, etc.) is to analyze and identify trusted IP addresses in order to place them on white lists. When a sender is recognized as certified based on their sending server's IP, their messages are given preferential treatment. For example, Windows Mail activates the display of images in messages sent by certified senders by default. These services often require the use of a dedicated IP address in order to be certified.

By choosing a dedicated IP address for your campaigns, you can sign emails with a preconfigured subdomain using your own domain (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentications). That means there will be no mention of SendinBlue in the content of your email header. This is particularly beneficial in the case of Gmail, which displays the sending domain in the technical signature of the message sent to users in their inbox.
Although you are responsible for managing your reputation when you buy a dedicated IP address, SendinBlue provides you with all the advice and support necessary to establish this reputation and manage it well.
